METRO BIOSOLIDS STORAGE FACILITY San Diego, California
The Metro Biosolids Storage Facility is a major component on the City of San Diego’s Clean Water Program. Tucker Sadler was retained as a sub-consultant to Metcalf & Eddy to provide all architectural and interior design services, excluding furniture selection, for this multi-facility project. Totaling 213,720 SF on a 35-acre site, the seven structures include a 45,606 SF Operations/Maintenance Administration Building. This building contains welding, carpentry, and electronics maintenance areas, hazardous storage, high-bay and warehousing facilities, engineer and supervisor offices, process control laboratories, and a conference and visitor orientation area. |

BURNHAM INSTITUTE San Diego, California Tucker Sadler Architects was challenged to successfully design a facility that could accommodate La Jolla Cancer Research Foundation’s needs on a predetermined under-sized site. The two-story 65,770 SF research facility provides 26 laboratories for Carbohydrate Chemistry and Biology programs. A series of outdoor courtyards surrounded by the laboratories, culminate in an indoor sky-lit atrium, which allows for interaction between research scientists, and also provides an informal dining area for lunch and breaks. |

UNITED STATES OLYMPIC TRAINING CENTER Chula Vista, California Tucker Sadler was the Executive Architect, providing design development through construction administration. Tucker Sadler teamed with Lehman/Smith/Wiseman, who provided Master Planning, architecture, and interior design services. The project incorporated 40 separate facilities for athletes in training, staff, and coaches.
