THIRD CHURCH OF CHRIST Tucson, Arizona The 9.5 acre desert site was crossed with desert washes. The ultimate design permitted all washes to be left in their natural state. An irregular plan shape was devised to translate the church's program into idealized, light-filled spaces, including a semicircular Sunday School wing and an angular Sanctuary with three tiers of clerestory windows.
