The California State University used this project as the anchor building in reestablishing San Diego State University’s rich Spanish architectural heritage host decades ago. The use of traditional courtyards, patios and terraces in this 100,000 square foot complex provides a simple solution to the involved program of housing numerous diverse functions under one roof. The many major and diverse student services requiring specialized programing functions includes Admissions and Records, Advising, Financial Aid, Testing, Computer Instruction Laboratories, Classrooms and Lecture Halls.
